Hope2Street
Hope2Street provides a twice weekly collection service from our premises at Crossley House, Market Place, Burton On Trent. This service is available on a Saturday and Sunday evening, between the hours of 6pm and 8pm. You do not need to book for this service. Please do not turn up any earlier as our volunteers will be setting up and being briefed of any special requirements.
Everyone at Burton HOPE is an unpaid volunteer. Abuse or aggression towards any of our volunteers will not be tolerated and the police will be called.
Hope2Street is available for anyone that is struggling to provide food for their household. All food will be bagged, according to the number of persons in the household, by our team of volunteers. Please be patient as this may take a few minutes if there is a queue.
A food parcel will provide enough food to last for three days, dependent on current stock levels. We endeavour to cater for food intolerances, again this is dictated by our supplies. We also have a limited supply of clothing, household kitchen items, sanitary wear and toiletries.
You will be asked to provide evidence of ID and this must show how many adults and children (with ages) are in your household. This can be in the form of a utility bill, a current bank statement, driving licence etc. Your full name and address must be shown. If you have children that you are claiming for, proof of Universal Credit or family allowance must be shown also.
If you continue to request food packages over a period of time, we can then offer a further level of support by offering free budgeting advice from one of our partner agencies, who actively support Burton HOPE service users.
